Fashion Revolution 2018

Week of April 23 to 29, 2018

The #fashionrevolution and #whomadeyourclothes movement is an international movement that aims for transparency in factories manufacturing fashion products.

"On April 24, 2013 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the name of Rana Plaza became infamous around the world. The collapse of the textile manufacturing workshops caused the death of 1,133 people and more than 2,500 were injured." - taken from fashionrevolution.org

The movement was therefore created to never forget this tragedy.

The fashion industry is way too big to keep quiet for 1 full week a year. We all know the reality of workers in Vietnam, China, Bangladesh, etc. Many senior managers enrich themselves at the expense of others by underexploiting them.

This movement therefore aims to create changes so that workers in the fashion industries have good working conditions, such as a safe place to work, safe equipment, adequate wages and working hours.
